The gentleman in that picture really had no business being at the TV house that morning, a few minutes to 11 a.m. But at least once or twice a week, I would saunter in there, sweating profusely and take a short break before crossing over to the radio studios to present my programme. The only reason I used to go there was that it was the only room I knew where the air conditioners were working. I used to trek from the Ikpa Road axis to present programmes at Ntak Inyang. And one thing I didn’t want anyone to know was that I trekked. I have always refused to be pitied.
